Factoring
The factoring process begins with a business issuing an invoice to a customer for goods or services rendered. This invoice is then sold to a factoring company at a discounted rate. In exchange, the business receives an immediate cash advance, typically 80-90% of the invoice’s value. The customer is then directed to pay the factoring company directly, according to the original invoice terms. Once the factoring company receives full payment from the customer, they remit the remaining balance (the original invoice amount minus the initial advance and their fees) to the business.
